Republican Randy Altschuler has conceded to four-term New York Democrat Tim Bishop in the race for the nation’s last disputed U.S. House seat.  Bishop’s win will give the Democrats 193 seats in the new House in January, while Republicans will have 242. Republicans had a net gain of 63 seats in the midterm elections.

Tom Emmer, the Republican candidate for governor of Minnesota, also finally conceded today. Republican Senatorial candidate Joe Miller is going forward with a lawsuit in Alaska, but it’s not likely to go anywhere.
